Welcome

The Carolina Center for Health Informatics (CCHI) is a practice-based, multidisciplinary research unit within the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. CCHI staff are involved in a variety of informatics-related projects and oversee the continuing development and maintenance of the North Carolina Disease Event Tracking and Epidemiologic Collection Tool (NC DETECT) in collaboration with the NC Division of Public Health.

• Secondary data collection, processing and analysis for population level surveillance and research
• Syndromic surveillance
• Iterative and user-centered software development
• Epidemiologic analyses
